Glen Waldron PT, DPT Owner and Practicing Physical Therapist
Glen Waldron, an avid sports fan, was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. He selected physical therapy as his profession of choice because he enjoys meeting new people and making a difference in the life of others. He says, "It is rewarding for him to be able to help others improve, recover, and return to full function in their life."
Glen began his studies by earning his Bachelors Degree in Sports Injury Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He was accepted and chose to continue his studies in the Physical Therapy Program at UNLV. In 2003 Glen graduated with his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy, and was chosen by his Instructors to receive the Leadership award in his class. Glen and his family moved to Elko to begin his career as a Physical Therapist in 2004. He has lived and worked in the area since that time. Over the past 12 years Glen has gained valuable experience working in a variety of settings including outpatient orthopedic, skilled nursing, rehab, long term care, homecare, and acute hospital.
In 2010 Glen achieved ownership of Pinion Rehabilitation. Glen loves learning and continuing his education. In 2012 Glen earned his Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. In 2014 Glen took courses to become certified in trigger point dry needling. He has found this treatment to be effective for decreasing pain caused by muscular trigger points.
Glen looks forward to helping the community by continuing to provide quality physical therapy to the residents of Elko and all the surrounding areas. In addition to his love of team sports, Glen enjoys coaching, biking, running, hiking, and spending time with his family. Glen and his beautiful wife Allyson have 6 children and reside in Spring Creek.
Kim Otheim, Massage Therapist/Therapy Aid
Kim Otheim grew up in the small town of Mountain City in Northern Nevada.
Kim says, "Growing up I always knew I wanted to work with my hands, and with massage and physical therapy, I can do that and make people feel better at the same time."
After graduating high school in 1997, Kim attended Great Basin College to begin her studies. After 2 years she moved to Boise Idaho to continue her education in massage therapy at The Academy of Professional Careers. In 2002 she moved back to Elko and started her own massage business called Tissues With Issues Massage Therapy. She has worked as a local massage therapist in Elko for over 20 years and has been working at Pinion Rehabilitation since 2007.
